User Responsibilities

Personal Use Only

This App is intended solely for personal, non-commercial use. We reserve the right to monitor usage patterns to ensure compliance with this restriction. If we detect data volumes or activity levels significantly beyond normal household usage—suggesting possible commercial or other non-personal use—we may temporarily restrict your access to the App while we review our terms and pricing.

Prohibited Activities

• Reverse Engineering: You may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to discover the source code, algorithms, or trade secrets of the App or any part of it.
• Unauthorized Access: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers, networks, or any systems connected to the App is strictly forbidden. This includes accessing data not intended for you or logging into an account that you are not authorized to access.
• Illegal Activities: You may not use the App for any illegal activities, including but not limited to fraud, identity theft, or any actions that violate applicable laws and regulations.
• Exploiting Vulnerabilities: Any attempt to exploit or use bugs, glitches, or vulnerabilities in the App to gain an unfair advantage or disrupt the normal operation of the App is prohibited.
• Intellectual Property Infringement: You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App or its content without our express written permission.
• Automated Access: The use of automated systems, bots, or scripts to interact with the App, whether to extract data, manipulate content, or perform other actions, is not permitted.
• Misrepresentation: You may not impersonate any person or entity or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity in connection with your use of the App.

Compliance with Laws

• You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards in your jurisdiction.

Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other security breach.

Intellectual Property

Ownership of the App and Its Content

• The App, including all of its original content, features, and functionality, is and will remain the exclusive property of TeamKay LLC and its licensors. This includes, but is not limited to, the software code, design, logos, trademarks, service marks, text, graphics, images, and any other materials created by or for us in connection with the App.
• You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use. This license does not give you any ownership of, or rights to, any intellectual property in the App or any of its content.
• You agree not to reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of the material on the App, except as expressly permitted in these Terms or with our prior written consent.

User-Generated Content

• The App allows you to store your own content, such as text notes and images, in a cloud-based database. This content is intended solely for your personal use and is not meant to be published or shared with others through the App.
• You retain full ownership of any content that you create and store in the App. We do not claim any ownership rights in your user-generated content.
• While we do not typically access or review user-generated content, by storing content in the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, process, and transmit this content as necessary to provide you with the App’s services. This license is only for the purpose of operating and improving the App and does not grant us any rights to use your content for other purposes.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring that your content does not violate any laws or infringe upon the rights of others. We do not monitor user-generated content and will only remove or restrict access to content if required to do so by a legal authority, court order, or other official mandate.

AI name suggestions

InsideBox can suggest item names using a third-party AI service, if you turn the feature on. Suggestions are generated automatically and may be inaccurate or incomplete, so please review them before saving. You're responsible for the photos you submit, and you agree not to submit content that is illegal or that you don't have the right to share. Monthly suggestion limits depend on your plan and may change. See our Privacy Policy for how photos are handled.

Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy. Payment Terms

Subscription and Billing

The App offers access to premium features through a subscription model. The subscription may be available on a monthly, yearly, or other periodic basis, with specific pricing and details provided within the App’s pricing section. By subscribing, you agree to pay the fees associated with the subscription period you select.

No Refund Policy

Except as required by applicable law, all payments for subscriptions are non-refundable. However, if you cancel within 48 hours of your initial subscription, you may be eligible for a full refund processed automatically through the App Store or Google Play Store. After this short grace period, all sales are final, and you will retain access to the premium features until the end of the current billing cycle, even after cancelation.

Subscription Cancelation and Renewal

You may cancel your subscription at any time by accessing your account settings in the App Store or Google Play Store. Canceling a subscription will prevent future billing, but you will retain access to the premium features until the end of the current subscription period.

Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Your App Store or Google Play account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.

If your subscription ends, your account and data stay and you move to the free plan. You can still view, edit, retrieve, release and donate all your items, but you can't add boxes or items beyond the free plan's limits, and search across items is unavailable until you resubscribe.

Data Retention and Deletion Policy

Your account and data are kept until you delete your account. If your subscription ends, nothing is deleted; your data stays in your account on the free plan, as described above. Free accounts may be deleted 1 year after your last login, and we will email you before deleting. You can download a PDF report of your boxes and items in the app at any time. Please note that the report reflects the data stored in the database at the time of generation. For details, see How long we keep it in our Privacy Policy.

Updates to Payment Terms

We reserve the right to adjust subscription fees and payment terms. Any changes will be reflected in the App’s pricing section and will apply to future subscription renewals. Current subscribers will not be affected by pricing changes during their active subscription period.

Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

Disclaimers of Warranties

• The App is provided "as is" and "as available." While we do our best to ensure the App is reliable and high-quality, we can't guarantee that it will always meet your specific needs, work without interruptions, or be free from errors. By using the App, you accept that there may be risks, and we are not responsible for any problems that may arise from your use of it.

Limitation of Liability

• To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall TeamKay LLC, its affiliates, directors, employees, agents, or licensors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including, without limitation, data loss, technical issues, or any other damages or losses, whether foreseeable or unforeseeable, arising out of or related to your use or inability to use the App.
• Our total liability to you for any damages, losses, or causes of action shall not exceed the amount you have paid to use the App.
• While the App utilizes third-party services for essential functions such as authorization, cloud storage, and search, we carefully select our service providers to ensure high standards of reliability and security. However, we cannot guarantee the performance or availability of these services, and we disclaim all liability for any disruptions or issues arising from their use. Our responsibility is limited to the services provided directly by us, and we cannot be held accountable for any problems related to third-party services beyond our control.
• The limitations of liability outlined here apply regardless of the cause—whether due to a failure to meet obligations, negligence, or any other reason—even if TeamKay LLC has been informed of the possibility of such damages.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App if we have a reason to believe you have breached these Terms, or if we have other valid reasons, such as legal requirements or technical issues. In such cases, we may also retain or delete any data associated with your account as permitted or required by applicable laws.

If you wish to terminate your use of the App, you may simply discontinue using the App or choose to delete your account and associated data. For more information on how to delete your account, please refer to the app's settings or contact us at info@teamkapps.com.

Please note that we may terminate the availability of the App or discontinue its support for any reason, including but not limited to financial, technical, or business considerations. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to provide you with advance notice and instructions on how to retrieve your data. After the specified period, your data may be deleted or rendered inaccessible. We will ensure that no further subscription renewals are processed; however, any subscription fees already paid are non-refundable. This is due to the complexity of calculating unused portions of the subscription, as the fees are based on average usage and partially allocated to third-party services.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms, or your use of the App, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in California, and you hereby consent to the jurisdiction of such courts.

You are also responsible for complying with any local laws, regulations, and industry standards applicable in your jurisdiction while using the App. In the event of any conflict between the laws of your jurisdiction and the laws of California, United States, the laws of California shall prevail for any disputes related to these Terms.

Dispute Resolution

If any dispute arises between you and TeamKay LLC related to these Terms or your use of the App, we encourage you to first contact us directly to seek an informal resolution. You can reach us at info@teamkapps.com.

If we cannot resolve the dispute informally within a reasonable period, both parties agree to resolve any claims through binding arbitration, as the sole and exclusive remedy, rather than in court. This means you waive your right to a trial by jury or participation in a class-action lawsuit. However, either party may bring claims in small claims court if the dispute qualifies.

Arbitration Process

Arbitration will be conducted in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA), and the location for such arbitration will be in California, unless both parties agree otherwise. The arbitration will be conducted in English and administered by a single arbitrator.

Costs and Fees

Each party will bear their own costs, including legal fees, associated with the arbitration unless the arbitrator rules otherwise.

Exceptions

This section does not prevent either party from seeking injunctive relief for intellectual property or security-related claims in a court of competent jurisdiction.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. If we make significant changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you of these updates. For registered users, we may send an email to the address you provided when creating your account. Additionally, the updated Terms will be presented to you through an in-app notification the next time you use the App. It is your responsibility to review the updated Terms. Continued use of the App after being informed of the changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should discontinue your use of the App.
